- Composite filling: It is made with the mixture of glass like particles and acrylic resin. It has same features as that of gold and porcelain (durable and longevity) but do differs in cost. However, if one wants to get same natural tooth color then one can also opt for composite filling other than porcelain.
- Mercury tooth fillings: Whether it’s Manhattan or any other part of the globe, amalgam or mercury filling has been one of the most popular fillings till now because of its features of durability, longevity, withstand biting and chewing. It comprises of 45% of mercury and 55% other metals (silver, tin and copper). Along with few advantages, its disadvantage is that it is silver in color, which gives a bad appearance to ones teeth.
